Elements and Performance Criteria

  1. Identify supply chaintraceability
  2. Product and service movements in the supply chain are identified, including any vulnerabilities
  3. Legislative obligations, including chain of custody and chain of responsibility, are determined
  4. Supply chain stakeholder's ability to undertake product and service traceability is verified
  5. Responsibility and level of authority for supply chain traceability is confirmed
  6. Implement supply chain traceability
  7. Traceability strategy, KPIs and scheduled timelines are communicated to supply chain stakeholders
  8. Policies, procedures and processes are implemented to support supply chain traceability strategy
  9. Data collection and documentation protocols are implemented to support supply chain traceability processes
  10. Legislative obligations, including chain of custody, are applied in the supply chain
  11. Use supply chaintraceability data
  12. Inconsistencies in product and services data is identified and remediated to ensure integrity of supply chain traceability

Performance Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all the requirements of the elements and performance criteria on at least one occasion and includes

analysing and reporting on traceability data

collecting and analysing information related to supply chain traceability

communicating with supply chain stakeholders

determining legislative obligations including chain of custody and chain of responsibility

developing and applying traceability data collection and documentation protocols

developing and implementing policies, procedures and processes to support supply chain traceability

identifying and remediating product and service data inconsistencies

identifying high and low traceability risk points in the supply chain

identifying product and service movements in the supply chain including vulnerabilities

implementing and reviewing traceability strategy including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

monitoring corrective actions and strategies including product and material recalls

reviewing and reporting on supply chain traceability strategy

undertaking risk mitigation for traceability data systems.


Knowledge Evidence

Evidence required to demonstrate competence in this unit must be relevant to and satisfy all the requirements of the elements and performance criteria and includes knowledge of

circular economy principles in relation to addressing sustainable practices in supply chains

communication methods and tools

corrective actions and strategies including product and material recalls

data analysis techniques

high and low risk points in the supply chain

information and data collection

legislative obligations including chain of custody and chain of responsibility

policies and procedures that support traceability

product and service movements in supply chains including vulnerabilities

recognition and remediation of product and services data inconsistencies

remediation of supply chain issues and problems identified through traceability data

review and report preparation
